The Inland See is curated by digital/project agency, Spinifex Valley, and is an endeavour to spend less time behind the screen… and more time connecting in the incredible community that is Alice Springs.

So save us from the grind and submit an EOI to use the space for a week 🙂

If there are no active artist/innovator/project bookings for the space, then the blog/stories on the front page track the key moments, travels, stories or activities that are associated with the space each week.

Not really but sometimes it could be.

For now the space is defined as “an experimental space for projects, art, stories, innovation, sharing research and development, poetry, community connection and more.”

The Inland See is sometimes an intentionally curated space. Sometimes things are more ephemeral and momentary.

• Typically the space is available in 1 week blocks, but that is just a suggestion.

• Give some thought as to how you will manage scheduling, as someone will need to be present in the space at all times it is open. (In some circumstances, it’s possible that your presence could be supplemented by an Inland See volunteer… but the idea is for you, or someone who can appropriately speak about the project, to be present.)

• There are some usage expectations/aspirations. Somehow you need to link your project to innovation/art/change/experimentation/community development. For now things the usage pre-requisites are pretty loose, but the stipulations may get more refined in the future.

• You will need to run at least 2 public presentations. E.g. Opening Night, Designated Workshop Times, Closing Session & Lessons Learned.

  At the moment the exchange and pricing structure/cost recuperation approach is not yet defined. For now, the space will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Yes, it is a possibility to have the space at no cost or to negotiate a contra-arrangement.
